Megan brings a wealth of diverse experience and deep industry knowledge to further SimVentions’ commitment to innovation and excellence in engineering services and technology development.
Megan Shepherd has been an integral part of SimVentions for over 11 years, demonstrating exceptional leadership and strategic vision. As Chief Operating Officer since January 2020, Megan has been pivotal in navigating complex challenges such as the return to office planning during the pandemic. She spearheaded the establishment of multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to align SimVentions’ growth and diversity strategies with evolving post-pandemic business environments. Notably, Megan recently led the successful launch of a new operating group, optimizing resource allocation for enhanced operational efficiency and future strategic initiatives.
Throughout her career at SimVentions, Megan has exhibited a strong commitment to fostering leadership and diversity. She initiated and continues to provide leadership to the SimVentions Women in Leadership Group, empowering women within the organization. Before her COO role, Megan served as Vice President for the Cybersecurity Engineering Group, significantly expanding its capabilities and influence within the company.
In addition to her corporate achievements, Megan Shepherd has been an esteemed member of the Board of Advisors for the University of Mary Washington (UMW) College of Business since September 2022. She actively supports the UMW Women in Business Group, leveraging her expertise to enrich educational and professional opportunities for students. Megan’s dedication and leadership have been recognized by Virginia Business Magazine, naming her one of the top Women in Leadership for 2021. She was also honored with the Distinguished Business Alumni Award from UMW in 2022.
