SimVentions Inc., Fredericksburg, Va., has been awarded a $37M contract for providing technical and engineering support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Dahlgren Virginia, specifically the Electronic Warfare and Sensor Systems (EWSS) Division, to support the Navy’s goal in ensuring surface electronic warfare dominance. The required engineering support encompasses systems and software engineering and development, system integration, modeling and simulation, test and evaluation, cybersecurity, and training. These engineering efforts are in direct support of the Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP), Navy onboard and off-board Electronic Warfare (EW) programs, and Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) programs and systems. The contract is for five years and will run through October of 2021.
“We are honored to be able to stand with NSWC Dahlgren’s EW team as we support their programs, systems, technologies, research, and workforce in ensuring that our military forces can continue to control and dominate the electromagnetic spectrum during wartime.” said Larry Root, SimVentions CEO. “Control of the electromagnetic spectrum is critical to current and future military engagements and cannot be maintained unless we master all aspects of EW, train our military forces on how to effectively use EW systems and technologies, and continue to invest in future technologies and EW-focused research and innovations. This contract award will allow the Navy to leverage our strong background and experience in EW, cybersecurity, rapid prototyping and training…and we are excited for the opportunity to serve!”
